20 Tips for a Positive New Year

1. Stay Positive. You can listen to the cynics and doubters and believe that success is impossible or you can trust that with faith and an optimistic attitude all things are possible.

2. Take a morning walk of gratitude. I call it a "Thank You Walk." It will create a fertile mind ready for success.

3. Make your first meal the biggest and your last meal the smallest. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

4. Zoom Focus. Each day when you wake up in the morning ask: "What are the three most important things I need to do today that will help me create the success I desire?" Then tune out all the distractions and focus on these actions.

5. Talk to yourself instead of listen to yourself. Instead of listening to your complaints, fears and doubts, talk to yourself and feed your mind with the words and encouragement you need to keep moving forward.

6. Remember that adversity is not a dead-end but a detour to a better outcome. {Tweet This}

7. Don't chase dollars or success. Decide to make a difference and build meaningful relationships and success will find you. {Tweet This}

8. Get more sleep. You can't replace sleep with a double latte.

9. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in your purpose, people and the positive present moment.

10. Mentor someone and be mentored by someone.

11. Live with the 3 E’s. Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy.

12. Remember there’s no such thing as an overnight success. There's no substitute for hard work.

13. Believe that everything happens for a reason and expect good things to come out of challenging experiences.

14. Implement the No Complaining Rule. Remember that if you are complaining, you're not leading.

15. Read more books than you did in 2013. I happen to know of a few good ones. : )

16. Don't seek happiness. Instead decide to live with passion and purpose and happiness will find you. www.Seed11.com

17. Focus on "Get to" vs "Have to." Each day focus on what you get to do, not what you have to do. Life is a gift not an obligation.

18. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements:

19. Smile and laugh more. They are natural anti-depressants.

20. Enjoy the ride. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy it.

I wanted to take a moment and wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year with your families.  May your holidays be filled with joy, love & laughter.  Let us remember the reason for the season.

This has been one amazing year of growth for our team.  I have seen each of you grow your business into a solid foundation.  I’m thrilled to work with each of you daily.  A year ago was a big turning point in my own personal business.  We set goals during this time for a growing 2013 and we continue to grow into 2014.  I encourage each of you to share your BFG (Big Fun Goal) with me.  I say fun because no matter what the goal is I would love to read it.  I will be sending out mine on Jan. 1^st to you.

I am grateful to Him first and foremost. My Lord, has guided me and has blessed me with the best of this life and I hope and pray for the best in the life to come. I have two grown sons and a host of play children. I started with Ameriplan June 23rd, 2012. I had been looking for something new to do in my life. I thought about having my own business before however I didn't know what I wanted to do. So I went on the internet looking for something else to do. One day I received a call from Angela Valentine she left me a message for me to call her back, so I emailed her and told her that I would give her a call back at 11 a.m. my time. The day I called her I was in the car on my way to a meeting. She told me about the opportunity and I was thinking about what she was saying, and I said that I needed a job that I could start getting paid hourly. While she was closing with her presentation I heard a voice that told me "rethink this, this is for you." So after Angela finished talking I said I will do it. She did not see that coming because I told her that I live by myself and I had bills to pay. I had planned on quitting my job in 2 months anyway so I said I will just train for those two months. God had something planned for me that at the time I could not see. That was the voice I heard. All the jobs that I have had in the past have gotten me ready for this adventure. All of my management, customer service, and training skills all have gotten me ready for this. So after I fired my boss I worked my business full time for about 3 months and 12 hour days and 6 days a week. That time allowed me to reach RSD, with the help of upline leaders Janie Jones, Kristie DeGraw, Debbie Hanson at Angela Valentine. These ladies have done so much for me and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Also I'd like to thank a friend that I've known for over 30 years. Not Everyone Enrolls On The Spot

 

A couple days ago, Kristie DeGraw, RVP asked the members of our team's Facebook page, "When you were first introduced to AmeriPlan, did you enroll on the spot or come back to enroll at a later date? And if you came back at a later date, how long after the initial conversation was it?"  There were 33 responses.  Here are the results:

• 11 enrolled on the spot
• 5 enrolled 1-6 days later
• 6 enrolled 1-3 weeks later
• 10 enrolled 1-3 months later
• 1 enrolled two years later

Only 1/3 of the people enrolled on the spot!

Some more interesting stats, of the 22 that did NOT enroll on the spot:

• 5 are RSDs
• 1 is SRSD
• 2 are ESDs
• 2 are NSDs - both of which joined a month or more after the initial conversation!!

Moral of this post... not everyone enrolls on the spot.  Do NOT get discouraged if your prospects don't enroll on the first call.  A lot of people will come back to you!  The important thing is to BE HERE when they do!  If you're not, you will miss out on a lot of great team members.  No call is a wasted call. Focus on building that pipeline!

This is the bio of a woman who found the courage and conviction from within her soul to say “Yes, I am worth it and I want it” I am honored to be chosen to share with you my heart today and I thank you Debbie for asking me to be a part of your journey and Inviting me to be a featured leader on your page.  I have had so many reasons to quit, obstacles that were Giants to overcome, fears of going out of my comfort zone, I never considered quitting at any time, I knew the day I started this was “IT” I just continue to fight for what I believe in, Being free has many faces, I want and needed “Freedom”Welcome to the beginning of the most liberating feeling of owning your own life, you will only realize that if you press forward and stay on board no matter what! 

On this team we have so many great leaders, and people who have great stories of struggle to success that have paved the way for many of us to come along and taste the success of what I call Riley Living, dancing to your own music is a very liberating way to live your life, however if you want to really dance you have to find the right partner and good fitting shoes or it will be painful, It is not easy picking your dance partner, but if you are not careful the dance will not be memorable. Ameriplan is the right dance partner for many reasons for me which I will share with you in a moment, but first let me say Ameriplan goes down easy for people who are scared to think they have what it takes to build a business from home, Also for people who are worried they may have to self medicate themselves, because the prescription is too expensive to take as prescribed. There are many reasons I can think of why Ameriplan makes sense not only to me, but to people who are at a fork in the road and really need help. When I started last year in Ameriplan it was to make some extra money to help me in my household responsibilities, but in the back of my mind I was wondering how can I make this my plan A, because my current plan A was not a plan at all, I knew that once I learned how to do what others were doing I could have the same things that others had and I wanted it, freedom, income, trips, relaxation and Power. Something I never have the ability to experience.  I looked at Ameriplan and realized this was the answer to my dreams, I could elevate every area of my life and did not have to be a corporate executive to talk to company heads, nor giving my advice or information,  It was totally exciting, If you are reading this and saying, yes it worked for her but it won’t work for me, or saying to yourself, you are different, or I can’t, please remove all those thoughts now!  After Ameriplan you will never be the same again, you won’t use the word ”Can’t” and you will think I can do this first instead of Can I do this?

I started this off by saying your incredible, what makes me say such a bold statement is that in order to be on this page, you must have first decided that I Am Going To Do This” you have conquered half the battle just knowing you are here.  If you have some type of impairment that keeps you from a traditional job know that you can and will be successful in Ameriplan with our guidance that we love to give you, If you are a single parent, dig in deep to the training your kids are worth the sleepless nights you will be getting but never again will you have to tell them “Mommy Can’t Get That Today”, If you are a MAN you will do good, This business will put the fire back in your soul and permit you to dream and change what if to “When” If you are young there is no better time to start living your life than today right here and right now, you are so worth it!  Ameriplan has the face of the community, no matter who or what you are you can be successful in Ameriplan we have so much training and resources available, your leadership will not rest until we have seen success in you,  I believe that each of us has greatness that must be cultivated for the success of our future to reach success. I believe the best membership advertising is done locally and face to face but here are suggestions from others about online advertising which is done across the entire USA. 

Your Website:

I personally don't recommend using the mybenefitsplus.com website in your online ads. The reason is, the mybenefitsplus.com website doesn't have a 'lead capture page'. They visit the site and then leave and we never knew they were there. Because of this reason, I personally use a "Capture page", and YOU have one too! They can fill out the form with their e-mail address and phone number and you can contact them back. Go to Focal Point, then click on "Sales Tools", then "Manage my Site" then select "apdentalplan", then name it and you have it activated and ready to use in your ads!Your Email Address:

Ideally you will want your email address to reflect something professional. You can create a Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail email address to use when posting ads.
