New RSD on our team

With Greahit the TOP!

Wow, I made it!  It has been a journey, but I'm here!  First of all I give all glory to GOD because without Him I can do nothing!

Before AmeriPlan I had worked 20 years in Corporate HR and was eventually laid off.  After that I knew I wanted to have my own business because I felt I had paid my dues and there was nothing more I really wanted to accomplish in the corporate world.  And with the downturn of the economy, it wasn't long before I realized the likelihood of me finding a job with 20 years of experience and a master's degree was a joke.  So I tried several home businesses but none of them really panned out to be what I had hoped.  Discouraged and frustrated, I thought that maybe I should try to get some type of 'professional job' again.

In the midst of my seemingly endless job search something wonderful happened.  I was pregnant!  My husband had always wanted a son, but we were not sure it would happen because I had not been able to conceive in over 16 years.  But in the midst of this critical career transition in my life, I was blessed to give birth to a perfectly healthy beautiful baby boy!  Now I was even more resolved on having my own home business.  After waiting so long for a child there was no way I could justify sending him off to daycare while I went to work.  Yes times were hard, and it meant we had to learn to get by with one income, but I knew it could be done.  This became my drive, my passion... my "Why."

I don't even remember how I came across the AmeriPlan ad that led me to request more information, but I do remember a nice lady calling to interview me about working from home with her company.  I hesitated at first because it was a healthcare business and my background was telecommunications.  However, I researched the opportunity, thought and prayed about it, discussed it with my husband and three months later decided to take the plunge.  While I was waiting to join I began listening to the training calls on the Career and Freedom website.  Then I got bit by the AmeriPlan bug.  I was so excited to finally enroll when the time came!  And even better, my husband loved it because he saw my checks begin to roll in after about a week!

From then until now it has been wonderful growth experience.  However, it did take me a minute to find my "flow."   Was every day wonderful and easy?  No.  Did I ever feel like this may not be for me?  Yes.  I was so passionate about my business that it hurt my feelings when people would hang up, be rude or not follow through with their promise to sign up.  And oh!  When someone quit, I'd just sink into a depression!  :-)  But I stayed with it.  For once I decided not to say, "this didn't work for me," but to say, "I'm going to MAKE this work!"  It was a trial by fire getting to RSD, but I knew for me it was a crossing of the great divide.  I knew that if I could hang in there, remain coachable, and make a personal commitment to be diligent with what I had been given, I could have it all.  And it is my desire to help others see that we all have been given an opportunity to do something great with what we have.  That's why I love what I do and that I am able to do it with AmeriPlan.  Life truly is but a dream, so choose to Dream Now.

Thank You's:  Thanks to my husband, my soul-mate. You have always fully supported my dreams and desires.  I love you with all of my soul.  To my son who is three years old now.  You are my "Why" and one day you'll know this is all for you.  Thanks Dennis and Daniel Bloom for allowing us all to have this opportunity and for hanging around 20+ years so that I could be a part of this incredible dream.  Thanks Janie Jones, our fabulous FAHT NVP, for being such a wonderful example and constant inspiration.  Thanks Kristie Degraw for being the best trainer, top recruiter and cheerleader a team could ever want.  Thanks Debbie Hanson for being there for whatever I happened to throw your way on any given day.  You don't know how many times you inspired me when I thought about giving up.  You are a wonderful, patient enroller, excellent mentor and now my faithful friend.  I love you Bosslady!  :-)  To Lisa Simpson: Girl, you are my go-to for laughter and inspiration.  To My Down line:  You make my job enjoyable because I have been blessed to find true diamonds.    To my FAHT and AmeriPlan Family: You guys are the best!  I truly love you all!

See you at the top!!!
